Where we can work with you: We can meet with you in person in the Boston area at your place of work, your residence, or at any suitable meeting place on which we agree. We can work with you online in various ways, using Zoom, Skype, Google Docs, or many other online applications.

When we can work with you, and for how long: As a tutoring service, we can work with you at most hours of the day and throughout the week, and for as short a period as one hour, or as long a period as you would like—years, if you so choose.

How  we work with you: First, you get in touch with us, and we discuss exactly what you need. (We offer free 30-minute consultations.) Instead of assessing your level of English and then giving you standard lessons—as many tutors and language schools do—we design a program of study for you that will help you to improve your English as we work together on your current projects.

 

For example, instead of determining that you have an upper-intermediate command of English and then giving you traditional text-based and time-consuming lessons on various aspects of English, we assist you by working with you on what you need at the moment, which might be writing important emails to colleagues or prospective employers. If you are giving a speech at a conference, we will work with you on that.  If you are giving a presentation at a place of business, we will collaborate with you on that. We can also help you edit a research paper or report, and help you in many other ways.

 

Of course, we will focus on all the aspects of English you need to improve, whether that be command of grammar and syntax, vocabulary, writing style, speaking fluency, or pronunciation, to name just some. You also might not have a particular current project other than improving your English, so we can certainly work with you on that, again focusing on exactly what you need.
